We're a group of podcasters who have at least one thing in common: We talk (at least a little) about roleplaying games. We might talk about what we're playing at our tables, about what's going on the industry, or about what we've learned that might help others improve their games. We might even talk about other things besides roleplaying games! Explore this site and find out more about our shows.

The RPG Podcast Awards were created in order to recognize artistic achievement, technical proficiency, and overall excellence in both gaming podcasts and in the games that inspire such podcasts.
Podcasts devoted to tabletop games have been a popular and growing subset of the podcasting phenomenon since the medium was popularized. Authors, game designers, artists, and other industry professionals have been able to access their fans and market their products through gaming podcasts on a scale that was only available to the largest publishers in the past.
Despite becoming influential in the tabletop gaming industry, there was no award which truly awarded the highest quality shows. The RPG Podcast Awards are peer judged by other active podcasters without any regard to popularity or commercial success. Roleplaying games and accessories are also honored through these awards, for without games there would be no gaming podcasts.
Any podcast or product released during the eligibility period is eligible for the awards. The judges will then nominate eligible products for the awards and then pick the winner from those nominations.
No. If your product was produced during the eligibility period then it is already under consideration for nominations. However, the RPG Podcast Awards do accept submissions if you would like to guarantee that the judges are aware of your product. Submission of product in no way guarantees a nomination and no submission will be returned.
A panel of five judges is appointed by the award organizers. These judges are podcasters all of whom have a deep understanding of both gaming podcasts and the gaming industry. The panel remains anonymous until the awards are presented after which they will be revealed. Judge membership will change year to year.
Three nominees for every category will be announced in early summer every year. The winner of each category will be announced at the awards ceremony at Gen Con that year.
The RPG Podcast Awards are presented at Gen Con. The location of the ceremony will be announced during the eligibility period.
